Our Mission...

The mission of the Harvard Business School Club of Jacksonville is to provide  for:

(i) Fellowship, networking, and support among area HBS alumni and between alumni, current HBS students and candidates to attend HBS,

(ii) Discussion of current business/social problems among HBS alumni and the local business community, and other continuing learning opportunities for area HBS alumni;

(iii) A greater sense of connectedness between HBS and area alumni;

(iv) A greater sense of connectedness between area HBS alumni and the local community by, for example:

1) Organizing opportunities for area alumni to participate in community service projects, in recognition of the substantial talents and resources embodied in the Club's membership that can be directed toward improving the quality of life in the area, and

2) Recognizing outstanding entrepreneurial and managerial achievement by area business executives.


Club History...

The Harvard Business School Club of Jacksonville, Inc. (the "Club"), was incorporated on October 15, 2008, as the successor to the unincorporated Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Jacksonville (the "Alumni Club"), founded on October 24, 2004, by Kirsten Barnhorst, MBA 1991. 

Ms. Barnhorst served as the Alumni Club's President until it was merged into the Club in November 2008.  Ms. Barnhorst continues to serve as a Director of the Club. 

John Marshall has served as Club President since October 2008.
