Elizabeth Brockelman Joins HBS Club Board of Directors

Latest addition to Board brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 4, 2009  -  The Harvard Business School Club of Jacksonville is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Brockelman has been elected to the Club's Board of Directors at its Annual Membership Meeting held today at TPC Sawgrass.

Elizabeth L. Brockelman received her MBA degree from the Harvard Business School in 1980 and holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Beth is currently Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager for Bank of America's Dealer Financial Services (DFS) in Jacksonville, FL, where she manages relationships with three of DFS' largest clients in addition to developing new business opportunities.  

Prior to joining DFS in 2006, Beth's experience includes senior financial and operations management roles at MBNA in Wilmington, DE, Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation, Merrill Lynch Financial Data Services, and Barnett Banks Inc., all in Jacksonville. Early in her career, Beth held financial planning and budgeting roles at Crestar Bank in Richmond, VA, and RepublicBank and Tyler Corporation in Dallas, TX.  She also spent three years in the audit department at Arthur Young & Company prior to attending HBS.

Active in the community, Beth is currently President of the Hubbard House Board of Directors and Finance Director for Guardian Catholic Schools, both in Jacksonville.  While living in the Northeast from 2003 to 2006, Beth served as Funding Organization Liaison for the Harvard Business School Club of Philadelphia's Social Enterprise Initiative and was a member of the Board of Catholic Charities of Burlington County, NJ. 

Mrs. Brockelman and her husband Mark, who is CFO of FSV Payment Systems, reside in Jacksonville, FL.

Commenting on the new Director, John Marshall, President of the Club, remarked, "We welcome Beth Brockelman to our Board and hope to leverage her prior involvment in nonprofit organizations to expand the Club's range of activities.  On behalf of all the Members, we look forward to her participation."
