Preston Haskell is chairman of The Haskell Company, the nation’s leading integrated design-build firm, headquartered in Jacksonville.  The company’s projects span a broad range of construction types including office buildings, data processing centers, institutional buildings, hospitals and medical facilities, continuing care retirement centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers and educational facilities throughout North America.  He is also a partner in Jacksonville Jaguars, Ltd.

Haskell graduated with honors from Princeton University with a degree in civil engineering, received a Master of Business Administration with distinction from Harvard University, and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology for graduate study in Building Engineering and Construction.

In Jacksonville, and around the country, Haskell has been deeply involved in community leadership.  He is chairman of the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, chairman of the Alliance for World Class Education, a director of the Schultz Center for Teaching & Leadership, and a director of Baptist Medical Center and Baptist Health System.  He is a director of the Civil Engineering Forum for Innovation, a former trustee of Princeton University, and has served as chairman of the Cummer Museum of Art, the Schultz Center for Teaching & Leadership, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Postsecondary Education Commission, the Jacksonville Electric Authority, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the United Way of Northeast Florida,  the Florida Government Accountability to the People Commission, and the Design-Build Institute of America.

He is a noted collector of contemporary art and much sought after as a speaker and writer on the subject.  His works are often loaned to museums, universities and other institutions.

Haskell is married to the former Joan Elizabeth Smith of Long Island, New York.  They have three children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and seven grandchildren.
